Every part of KerfLab is unlocked — designing, nesting, machine setup and G-code export. No card, no trial running out, nothing to cancel.
hours of evenings and weekends since February 2026
I built KerfLab for myself. I have a CNC in my own workshop, I wanted software that cut cabinet parts the way I actually work, and none of it existed the way I wanted it — so I wrote it, and I still use it for my own jobs.
It is one person. No team, no company behind it, no investors. That is also why it says beta: it does what I need, and I am still finding out what everybody else needs.
I hope it is useful to you. And to be straight about it: I hope that one day it earns something back for the hours in that counter. It doesn't yet, and nothing on this page is asking you to pay. If that ever changes you will hear it from me long before it happens, and nobody who helped during the beta is going to wake up locked out.
All of it. There is no smaller version.
That I run my own work through it and it holds up, but it moves fast. Things get added, renamed, and now and then broken. If something bites you, tell me — finding that out is what a beta is for.
Yes. Every feature, G-code export included. There is nothing to enter a card for and nothing to cancel.
I hope so — I would like it to pay for some of the time it takes. I don't know yet what that looks like, and I am not going to guess at a number here. Whatever it turns out to be, it gets announced well in advance, not sprung on anyone.
One developer with a workshop, in the evenings and at weekends. The counter above is my own time log, kept honestly — it is the whole story of where this came from.
Your projects, panels and machine settings stay in your account, and they stay yours. Beta means the software changes, not that your work disappears.
